About the Innkeepers

Bob and Cathy grew up in the Toledo, OH area and dated for a short time during the 60’s.  After high school, they went their separate ways, completing their degrees, raising their families, and happily reconnecting 40 years later.  Cathy will tell you that Bob was her first love.  Bob says that their love is timeless.

Bob, an adventurer at heart, spent many years driving cross country as a household goods mover while Cathy remained close to her hometown, traveling locally and globally for work and pleasure.  It is rare to meet a guest from a hometown that Bob or Cathy have not visited. In their free time, Bob and Cathy enjoy playing cards and board games and welcome the opportunity for a friendly game with guests.

Cathy’s lifelong dream has been to host a B&B and, in 2016, Bob surprised her with the gift of The Grand Kerr House.  Bob and Cathy look forward to your stay!

Our Grandson Kody

Don’t be surprised if you see Grandson Kody around the house.  When not in school or spending quality time on his iPad, Kody can be found helping with housekeeping chores including sweeping the porch and dusting the low spots that grandma can’t reach anymore.

By special request, you may even have the opportunity to be served Kody’s waffle sandwich on a weekend morning.  His proprietary recipe includes two toaster waffles, syrup, a generous dollop of whip cream, and a secret ingredient or two.  Made especially for the young at heart - be sure to call ahead to order this scrumptious treat.

Friends and Family

We like to think of the restoration of The Grand Kerr House as the culmination of many helping hands.

Countless friends and family members have donated time, energy and many items to making The Grand Kerr House the lovely, welcoming home it is today.  We cannot thank each and every one of them on this site but, hopefully, they know how much they are appreciated.  Our doors are always open to Friends and Family and, we promise, we won’t make them work every time they stop by.
